MMR vaccination – Measles, Mumps and Rubella

MMR vaccination – Measles, Mumps and Rubella

Counties Manukau District Health board and the Government have recognised that there are a number of people that have not been vaccinated or partially vaccinated for measles.

Measles is a highly contagious disease. To stop future outbreaks, students are being offered a FREE vaccine at school to help protect them against Measles, Mumps and Rubella. This works by causing the body to make antibodies to fight these diseases.

We are hoping that with the help of the school health team, we will be able to vaccinate as many students as possible on  13 April 2021. We will send out a consent form and information to be completed ideally before the day of vaccination.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact the school nurses or your GP
