Technology Technician

We seek a highly organised and motivated Technology Technician, ideally with experience in a range of wood, metal and CAD/CAM fabrication equipment and processes, to start Term 1, 2019.  The key tasks of the role include provision of materials preparation and technical support for teachers, development and maintenance of systems and processes for the management of workshop resources and equipment, design and construction of display units and provision of administration support for the Technology department.

This is a permanent position, term time only. Salary and annual leave provisions are set according to the Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement 2017-2019.

Tangaroa College is a school of approx. 800 students from the local Otara community. Our Technology block is well resourced.

Papa Siua La’akulu


Siua Tovao La’akulu
15 August 1946  –  31 October 2018
On Wednesday 31 October a much loved member of Tangaroa College ‘Papa Siua’ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Papa Siua has been unwell for sometime however, he embraced each day with hope, love and gratitude. His strength was his family and faith, to us Papa Siua lives in every essence of Tangaroa.

Both services will take place at The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Alfriston Chapel, Porchester Road (opposite Alfriston College).  Friends and family of Tangaroa College – past and present attending either of the services feel free to wear either TC blue or any TC gear – t-shirts, tie, jersey etc. If you wish to visit the family as Papa Siua currently lays at home (82 Manuroa Road, Takanini), please phone Soana (daughter)  0223827668.
